Industry Recognised Vocational Courses

ECBC offers industry recognised vocational qualifications from Pearson. Being an approved centre, it offers Pearson BTEC Level 4 and 5 Higher National Diploma in Business and Health & Social Care programmes. Please click Courses for more details about the programme you wish to enrol.

  • Current News

    Admission for January 2018 is currently taking place

    A successful EE visit for HND Health and Social Care has taken place on 23rd March 2017. This resulted in the 'release' of the programme.

    A successful EE visit for HND Business has taken place on the 27th of July 2017, allowing us to claim certificates for students who have completed their two years in Business QCF Programme.

    The College has successfully participated in the National Student Survey (NSS) with 89.7% of students participated in it before the deadline of 30th April 2017.

    Students have also participated in the BTEC Higher Nationals Annual Student Survey in May 2017.

    ECBC has opted to join Year 2 TEF exercise and are awaiting an award from HEFCE.

    Induction day and Pre-session Course will be held on the 18th and 19th of September 2017 for Business and Health & Social Care Programme respectively.

  • Commendable outcome for QAA Review

    ECBC received a commendable outcome from the monitoring visit by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in 2015 and submitted an annual return in August, 2016 that demonstrates that it is continuing to maintain academic standards and enhance the quality of student learning opportunities and information about learning opportunities.

    Like the previous three years, ECBC has received course designation from BIS for Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business and in Health & Social Care for the academic year 2016- 17 commencing from September 2016.

  • Notice to students regarding students’ data collection by HESA

    Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) collects from all the providers of Higher Education in the UK. Students’ data are part of all the data given to HESA. As part of the provisions of Data Protection Act, students have been notified about this exercise on ECBC website.

East End Computing and Business College (ECBC) is one of the QAA reviewed higher education colleges in London, UK. It is situated at the junction of the busy Commercial Road and Cannon Street, connecting the eastern fringe of central London. Commuting to college is very convenient by Bus, and via three nearby Tube and Overground stations - Whitechapel, Aldgate East and Shadwell. Learning & Research

We encourage our learners to explore research and read to strengthen their learning. Our learners can access all their learning materials placed by their tutors on the VLE (Moodle). Our up-to-date library resources include recent text books and ABI/Inform (Pro Quest) on line academic database. These easily accessible resources help student enhance their learning and facilitate further research to reinforce their learning. For more details please click Resources.

Placements For Vocational Training

At present ECBC runs Pearson BTEC HND in Business and HND in Health & Social Care. In the Health and Social Care programme, learners are expected to take on the job training with suitable business organisations or care homes. Respective teachers and placement officer arrange placement of learners with suitable business or care organisation for practical experience. Formal contract for job experience and supervision to ensure learning outcomes are achieved are monitored.
